To all Staunton  Augusta County Democratic Committee Members

There will be no meeting on Tuesday, February 14. Keep an eye on this space and our Facebook page for information about the next meeting. Our Facebook Page

In the meantime, check out the events listed below.
Thanks to Phyllis Rosen for pulling together these activities and events for you to consider. These are not organized by The Staunton Democratic Committee but may be of interest to all of us.

There’s so much going on!
Thursday, February 9 –  SAW-VA 10 Actions Huddle meeting; 6:00- 8:45 pm; Staunton Library

Saturday, February 11 –  Demonstration in support of Planned Parenthood; Goodlatte’s Staunton Office (on Lewis St) 10:00 am

Saturday, February 18 –  Local and Vocal; Staunton Library from 1-3:30,  organizing meeting

Tuesday, February 21 –  Goodlatte Open Door Meeting in Waynesboro (Third Tuesday) 11:30am-1:00pm  Many people have already committed to making their voices heard by the Congressman on a variety of issues by attending his Open House Hours.  His  website lists where his staff members are holding regular constituent meetings each month.

Tuesday, February 21 –  Marc Armstrong is hosting an Open Conversation at Staunton City Hall from 7-9pm.  I understand this is a meeting to take stock of were we are on progressive issues and where we go from here.
For planning purposes, people should know that there will be three major marches in Washington DC in April. They are:
The Tax Day March on April 15 to pressure our President to release his tax returns
The March for Science on April 22
The People’s Climate March on April 29
